Privacy
Soulcompass publishes articles about mental health. Reading them requires no account, and this notice describes everything that happens when you do.
Who is responsible
Soulcompass Ltd is the controller for the processing described here. For anything about this notice, or to exercise a right below, write to hello@soulcompass.eu.
What this site collects
Nothing that identifies you.
- No cookies are set, so there is nothing to consent to and no banner to dismiss.
- No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags.
- No account, no sign-up and no newsletter. Registration is closed.
- No fonts, scripts or images are loaded from anyone else, so visiting a page does not disclose your visit to a third party.
What happens when you open an article
The article is fetched by our own server from our own service, and only then sent to you. Your browser never contacts the article service, so what you read is not recorded against you anywhere beyond the ordinary web-server logs described below.
Links to other sites
The crisis page links to helplines and directories run by other organisations. Those links are set so that the site you land on is not told you came from here. What happens after you arrive is governed by that organisation, not by us.
What the hosts see
Serving a page means a web server receives your IP address and browser details, and keeps short-lived operational logs for security and reliability. Those logs are not used to build a profile, are not combined with anything else, and are not sold or shared.
The site is served by Vercel, with page rendering pinned to Frankfurt. The article service runs on Scaleway in Paris. Both are under a data-processing agreement. Vercel operates a global network, so the first moment of a request may be handled outside the European Union before it reaches Frankfurt; transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask what is held about you, have it corrected or erased, object to processing, and complain to a supervisory authority. Because this site holds nothing that identifies you, in practice there is usually nothing to give you; ask anyway if you want that confirmed in writing.
When this changes
Accounts, session booking and subscriptions are being built. They will process personal data, including information about your health, and none of them is live. Before any of it goes live this notice is replaced by one that describes it, with granular consent and an assessment of the risks. It will be replaced, not quietly amended.
